Fairy of Easy Changes

Dear Fairy Friends,

I’m delighted to be writing to you after some time away.

If you’re anything like me, you’re probably embracing a lot of changes—some that you’ve inspired and others that life has brought your way. To help us navigate through these changes, I’ve created a new fairy:

The other day, I stumbled upon some fairies I created 12 years ago, and they brought me so much joy. It wasn't just what they said but also how they looked—drawing with my non-dominant hand was a bit of a challenge back then! I’ll share one of those old favorites with you next time.

Today, I’ve got a new drawing to go along with the Fairy of Easy Changes that I just created, but it has the vibe of one of those older fairies, which makes me feel like it carries even more potent energy. And if your life feels anything like mine these days, you could probably use that energy!

I'm so happy to be back in touch with you. If you can, please stop by our studio during Art Hop—our hours are listed here. I’ll be in touch again soon. Until then, I wish you easy days as you move forward, believing in yourself. You can do this!

All the best,

Emily and the Bluebird Fairies

...and Suddenly You are Doing the Impossible."

Hello Dear Friends of Bluebird Fairies,

I hope this finds you well.

I’m writing to invite you to join the fairies and I.

On Friday my friend Christopher began a journey to Italy to walk from Assisi to Rome. It’s a personal pilgrimage that includes the fairies of Bluebird, ones that were inspired by St. Francis of Assisi which Christopher will share with people and leave in little shrines along his way.

So many things resonated with me as I drew these fairies especially this quote that now lives in this fairy:

How does this quote resonate with your life? With our collective lives? With any part of your/our story that needs this assuredness of fulfillment?

Please employ it with love and care for all.

All the best,

Emily and the Fairies

p.s. Christopher will be sharing the fairies as they participate in his journey. I’ve made a page for them here. If you’re interested in having your own St. Francis Fairy experience, please find them at our shop.

The Year of the Dragon is Here!

Dear Friends of Bluebird Fairies,

Many of you know that I LOVE the Lunar New Year.

Here’s a fairy to support us through this NEW year:

Everything I’ve been reading lately tunes me into the idea that it’s time to cultivate, with care, the dreams we have been growing.

Tomorrow, to honor that, I will plant seeds to watch grow into flowers as I make make concrete steps forward.

What might you do to facilitate the growth of your wishes and dreams? This dragon will assist you, so employ her energy and enjoy the ride.

Sending much love,

Emily and the Bluebird Fairies

Happy Solstice Everyone!

Dear Friends of Bluebird Fairies,

We’ve moved into the Winter Solstice.

I’ve happily moved back into my practice of drawing a ‘Demon’ and ‘Fairy’ every day. This recent fairy seems so perfect for right now:

Beneath the words "Fairy of Intention for Good things happening' stands a fairy with arms outstretched. He has a speech bubble on either side with the words "Visualize and allow."

Lena Stevens of the Powerpath School of Shamanism says “Intentions are the energy of your desires.” She suggests when creating intentions to consider how you want to feel and to consult your heart rather than your mind. Your mind’s job is to create goals and resolutions to fulfill your intentions.

I’m doing that practice now. Here’s a writing I keep returning to for inspiration that I found in the 2023 We’Moon Date book:

Winter Solstice

Rejoice! For the Light is birthed once more, and we discover anew that the body and divinity are made of the same things. There is the breath of the holy across every lip, the kiss of renewal on every brow, the new-birthed cry of awareness on every lip, the fresh taste of wonder on every tongue, the touch of joy beneath each fingertip, rebirthed this day.

In the depths of cave time, when the silver glow of moonshadow and the leaping heartfires of home comfort us, we gather fibers to knit our communities whole. There may be stripes of uncertainty and patches of pain, long gray stretches and bursts of color, but each of us contribues to the pattern of the World Soul.

Let’s give up our notions of too late, never, and not enough time, and let our fingers trail through our lives, gathering experiences of last year and holding them tenderly, both the sweet and the spiky. Breathe easy. Keep your eyes on those irrepressible silver linings, and keep your hands open. There is much work yet to be done. - Molly Remer of Mother Tongue Ink, 2022

Wishing you all the best in this time and in the midst of it all, moments of great quiet to connect with your heart.

All the best,

Emily and the Bluebird Fairies
