Welcome, Year of the Tiger

Happy Lunar New Year Bluebird Fairy Friends!

On February 1st, we’ll be firmly in the year of the Tiger. Well, as firmly as you can be with a Water Tiger. She’s fierce, emotional and ready to step daringly with you into your future. Are you ready? Here she is:

'Fairy of the powerful, passionate, and daring Water Tiger' is orange with black stripes white wings and exists in a star filled blue. "Trust your intuition, blaze new paths" in speech bubbles.e

As promised, we have some support to bolster your courage.

Gwendolyn Evans and I have recorded your Energy Map for 2022. This video will give you an overall word for the year and for each month, as well as a fairy for the year and each season. I look forward to hearing how these words and fairies work for you.

Gwendolyn and I are available for more insights.

As always, onward and upward with positivity and GRACE.

With much love,

Emily and the Bluebird Fairies.

Happy New Year from all of us at Bluebird Fairies

Dear Friends of the Fairies,

I hope this greeting finds you well.

In spite of our northern hemisphere moving into our darker, more reflective months of the year, so many of us have been filled with lots of DOing.

I have found that to be true - lots of DOing and, some it, I’m not sure I even need to be DOing.

I have had time this week to ease up, but then my demons showed up. For those of you unfamiliar with the under story of Bluebird fairies; we’re surrounded by demons. Our goal, though, is to name as many of them as we can. This releases them and gives us antidotes that nourish us. Here’s the demon that showed up for me on that first day of rest.

'Demon of blah what am I doing feelings. Below is a roughly drawn figure with big eyes, nose and mouth. "Antidote: Smile and move forward being present w/ your whole self.'

On that day, my yoga teacher, Emily Garrett of Laughing River Yoga, began class commenting on the many things we might be currently dealing with and then invited us to BE with it all. Here’s a fairy inspired by that comment:

'Fairy of being with it all' A fairy wearing a dress with a bright red heart in its center has their arms outstretched. 3 speech bubbles say 'feel' 'you' 'be with'.

I hope you can BE with it all in easy ways.

I’ll be in touch again with magic words for the year from Gwendolyn’s Cauldron and fairies from our Fairy of the Day App.

Happy new Year.

Love,

Emily and the Fairies

Fairy of Choice

Dear Friends of Bluebird Fairies,

We hope you are all doing well in your various efforts and endeavors, especially if some of them are rest and reflection.

An important word for these days, according to Lena Stevens of the PowerPath School of Shamanism, is ‘stamina’. She gave that word to the month of December. You can read her monthly forecast here.

The word I’d like to talk about today is ‘choice’ and here’s a fairy to deliver it:

a fairy with abundant hair on its head, wearing a dress with a yellow top and pink skirt. It has a red heart and holds a banner above it's head with the words' Yes, you can!" and two speech bubbles with "Setting your" "intentions", 3 green plants.

“Choice” is my word for the month of December. Last year (and the year before) I received words for each month of the upcoming year from my friend Gwendolyn’s magic cauldron.

I find these words give guidance to finding my way through life. For instance, this morning I found as soon as I employed the word ‘choice’ a heaviness in me around responsibilities and questions moved away.

I hope the ‘Fairy of Choice’ assists you in whatever ways you need.

In January, Gwendolyn and I will share with all of you, words and fairies for 2022.

And…please come visit us at our one and only holiday event on Saturday December 18th in the beautiful land of North Hero. The event is hosted by Kraemer and Kin in their brewery’s headquarters at GreenTARA Space. (see invite below)

Most importantly, stay connected to you as we all move forward. This is our one and only now!

Love,

Emily and the Bluebird fairies

Letting Life In- Honoring Charles Bukowski

Hello Bluebird Friends,

I hope you are all doing well. It’s that time of year in the Northern Hemisphere where evening starts early. For the past few years I’ve reminded myself that this is the time to draw in, read and reflect. Have I done it? I haven’t felt I have. This year feels different. There are books next to the bed and my journal is being written in daily.

I hope whatever assists you in this time is beginning for you.

Today’s blog post fairy arrived by way of the ‘Fairy of the Day’ app which always provides me with just what I need. Here he is:

Handwritten words saying "Fairy of Letting Life In" are above a line drawn figure with wings, a smile, 6 strands of short hair and a big red valentine style heart. He has two speech bubble on either side. One says "Live it" and the other "love it."

What this fairy suggests to me today, is to share with you one of the inspirations behind the name “Bluebird Fairies.”

It’s a poem by Charles Bukowski and as soon as I heard him read it, I knew it would find a lasting way into my life.

Here’s the poem:

the bluebird

there’s a bluebird in my heart that

wants to get out

but I’m too tough for him,

I say, stay in there, I’m not going

to let anybody see

you.

there’s a bluebird in my heart that

wants to get out

but I pour whiskey on him and inhale

cigarette smoke

and the whores and the bartenders

and the grocery clerks

never know that

he’s

in there.

there’s a bluebird in my heart that

wants to get out

but I’m too tough for him,

I say,

stay down, do you want to mess

me up?

you want to screw up the

works?

you want to blow my book sales in

Europe?

there’s a bluebird in my heart that

wants to get out

but I’m too clever, I only let him out

at night sometimes

when everybody’s asleep.

I say, I know that you’re there,

so don’t be

sad.

then I put him back,

but he’s singing a little

in there, I haven’t quite let him

die

and we sleep together like

that

with our

secret pact

and it’s nice enough to

make a man

weep, but I don’t

weep, do

you?

‘What’s the connection?’ you may ask.

Bluebird Fairies assist the bluebirds out of our hearts. They make the space right outside our hearts safe. In this safety we can get familiar and comfortable with what’s inside ourselves and we can share this, if we want, with others. That’s what happened to me when I started sharing these private drawings of mine with others.

Earnest little drawings that help us do big things!

Onward and upward!’

Have fun and take it as easy as you can.

Love

Emily and the Bluebird Fairies

Fairy of BEing With

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are well and enjoying the Magical Month of October.

Wow! It’s been over a month since the South End Art Hop. What fun it was opening our studio to new and returning friends for amazing conversations about ‘these earnest little drawings that help you do big things.’

That experience and several fairy-filled events that followed inspired the creation of this fairy:

BEing with.jpg

Ah, the ‘Fairy of BEing With.’ There you are with your outstretched arms saying ‘We Can.”

The feeling I felt when I drew this fairy now lives in it. Since drawing it, I have been sensing new ways that my life is showing me that I am not alone. That I am, in fact, BEing with others.

If you are welcoming this into your life, ‘The Fairy of BEing With’ will contribute its support.

Onward and upward we go!

Love,

Emily and the Bluebird Fairies
