Hello Dear friends of Bluebird Fairies,
(this is a published ‘work in progress)
I hope this message finds you well wherever you are.
The fairies and I and so many others have lost a dear friend named Mark Utter. Last week I found this fairy in the studio and gave it to him and it sat by his bedside during his last days on earth.
I’ve known Mark for many years. What began as a ‘teacher’ ‘student’ role evolved into becoming collaborators on a big project that ‘outed him as an intelligent man’ Mark and so many of his peers help to me to see that life is so much more full, beautiful and complex than we neurotypical people are taught to see it. The drawing of the fairies and other drawings using my ‘non dominant hand’ help me to reach some of that knowledte on my own.
Mark loved the fairies and often asked to have a ‘fairy card reading'.’ After he died, I decided I should do a reading and think of him as I did it. What showed up seemed a good thing to share today:
The Time to Go to Bed Fairy. Ah, so fitting. I am tired. So much change, so many feelings. And I know this extends well beyond me. Lena Stevens in the Powerpath Monthly Forcast for November says the focus of this month is ‘Reset.’ (find quote for that)
The Fairy of Secret Gardens. Can we continue to find them? They help to bolstor our spirits. On Saturday I was in Monteplier helping to run a ‘Leadership Series.’ At the end of the day, Hubbard Park called me to walk up its steep hills and find my way to the top of the tower. This solitary walk on a early November Saturday was just what I needed. The beautiful oak leaves beneath my feet. The lines of the landscape pushing through the trees. Yes, take these moments to continue the ‘reset.’
Fairy of a Bright New Day! So, perfect. Mark had a shirt with this fairy on it and he wore it up till the very end. This fairy always helps to dust off my cobwebs and pull me up in the possibillities that are present when we begin again. Can we do this? Yes!
Here are some great words from Mark-
“I want people to get really excited every time they get in line with their thinking and they easily relax and have a moment reaching a calm they need to work their own charm into life.
That is so needed.
I am joyful a lot of the time because I have a lot of time to be in tune with myself and really want others to have that luxury. I know it is so hard especially when you have a lot of great projects going on.
I am hopeful it can be achieved. You deserve open rooms in your heads. You, really great people, need to treat time like a joyful friend.
On with the shows that are about all you do and, yet, let yourself star in each one of them. Maybe people don’t need to know you are the star but you do.
Do take this all to heart. I don’t think it’s easy to change. You need to shift some heavy conditioning that our culture has deadened us with.
I think really relaxing when you feel stressed and leaving room for others to connect with you would be good to start doing.”
On we go!
Be well!
Emily
